Meisenthal Glass Works 63km |
 |
The site of the former glassworks in Meisenthal (1711-1969) is today a privileged witness to a second breath and an unusual marriage between memory and modernity.
After many stages of conversion, this industrial site closed in 1969 today offers its visitors the magic of a heritage enriched by the eyes of contemporary creators and an demanding cultural and tourist program.
Frequented by more than 60,000 users per year, the Meisenthal glass site is animated by three partner structures (Le Musée du Verre, Le Centre International d'Art Verrier and La Halle Verrière) that intersect heritage and contemporary creative disciplines (design, contemporary art, current music, street theatre...).
